Experience all the feels in this unforgettable second-chance standalone romance from number-one New York Times best-seller Lauren Blakely!
I didn't break her heart, and she didn't break mine - we broke each other's.
I never stopped loving her, but time and distance played its cruel role in ripping us apart three years ago when she moved halfway around the world. Now after all those endless miles away, she's returned...but I'm not the guy I was before.
Beautiful, kind, and loving, she's the same - my hope. The only one who can make a day better, who can make me feel again with one kiss, one touch, one night.
There's so much I have to put back in place now that I'm alone and on my own. Things I never wanted at the age of 25. When I receive an unexpected letter that might hold the clues to everything I desperately need to understand about my family, I'm sure I have to follow it. But that means leaving her once more.
She says she'll come with me, and having her by my side will unbreak my heart...or destroy it.
That's the chance I have to take.

Unbreak my Heart healed my soul The chemistry among the characters in this book is unexpectedly spell binding. The story of Ian even though you never meet him was so amazing. Andrew was lovable from page one and Holland’s giving compassionate spirit captured my heart. The heartbreak of losing a loved one to cancer is something very personal to many of us and the way this story handles the loss and grieving process was very introspective. Thank you Lauren for having the courage to share this phenomenal story.
  • Compelling!

My favorite books are the ones that draw me into the story through the heart of its characters triggering my empathy and giving me a bird’s eye view into what they’re thinking and feeling. When my emotions are engaged the story becomes so much more compelling to me and Lauren Blakely’s newest book accomplished all that and more. Anyone working through the loss of a parent will find it glaringly obvious that Andrew is in trouble. He’s in a very destructive period and he can’t make sense of the death of his beloved brother Ian and what that loss will mean to his future. Thankfully, Andrew has a host of friends and neighbors who surround him with loving care to let him know that he’s not alone in his grief, and that’s exactly what we need when we find ourselves in the same situation. This book will change the way you look at life and survive loss and it deeply touched my heart. I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Why is it over? I just want the story to continue on forever! Completely lost myself in the story. Hooked from the start. This book was un-put-downable! I was granted a copy from the publisher for an honest review.
  • Heartbreakingly beautiful story by Lauren Blakely!!

5++++++ Stars!! All the stars and then some!!! Unbreak My Heart by Lauren Blakely is hands down one of favorite books by this author to date. It was so unlike her other books. So different from the rom coms we've come to expect. Heartbreakingly beautiful, full of angst and love. It's a journey of self healing and living life to the fullest. I absolutely loved it! I was so impressed and in awe of Lauren Blakely's words. If I could have reached into the pages and hugged Andrew, I would have on multiple occasions. He has had so much loss in his life. My heart hurt for him. His most recent loss left him more broken and jaded than any before it. When he receives a letter that leaves him with questions surrounding his brother's last year of life, he and the only girl he's ever loved take off to Japan to seek answers. Once again Lauren Blakely does a incredible job describing the setting. She paints this gorgeous picture of a country I've never been to but have now added to my list of places to see. She makes it feel like we are right there with Andrew and Holland in Japan. I cannot recommend Unbreak My Heart enough!! Lauren Blakely's writing is brilliant, and perfect and I just loved it so much!! Pick this beauty up immediately! Go Dodgers!!

Prepare to experience a rollercoaster of emotions while reading Lauren Blakely latest book Unbreak My Heart. A departure from her usual rom-coms, this story is no less entertaining and is guaranteed to deliver the same level of Blakely hotness characteristic of all her books. As the title suggests, Andrew, the main character, is struggling to come to terms with the death of his brother while also being given a second chance at true happiness. His quest for answers takes Andrew, accompanied by Holland, his close friends and former lover, to Japan, where his dead brother has left clues that just might hold the keys to unlock his heart.
  • Love’s Second Chances and Lessons

    By Fairest Reviews
Dear Lauren Blakely, I’m sure while you were writing Andrew and Holland’s story that you felt a wide range of emotions, not only for what your characters were going through but also perhaps due to an array of memories of what you and those closest to you have had to deal with when it comes to grief, depression, loss, and loneliness, death, and cancer. These are not easy subjects to discuss or explore, but I can assure you that they desperately need to be; because if society talked openly about these topics then perhaps people could breathe easier...feel more comfortable to share their pain and their thoughts with others to prove just how alike they are and how their hearts struggle and break just like everyone else’s do. I have firsthand experience with what cancer, death, and grief can do to a family; I live with its effects still, almost on a daily basis, and it’s heartbreaking and emotionally draining, but it helps to know that I’m not alone in this fight or in these feelings and I gain strength from knowing that others stand beside me. Andrew and Holland’s feelings for one another resonate from the pages of Unbreak My Heart, but so do their individual dreams and goals, and while, at times, they find themselves off balance, contemplating what their next moves should be and how they’ll fit into each other’s lives, they slowly find their way...find the path that’s meant for each of them alone as well as the one that will allow them to finally get it right, find a balance, and be together in every way possible. Another valuable lesson that Unbreak My Heart teaches readers is that life is not easy and people can’t control other people’s actions, which sometimes means that they must deal with things that they never wanted to endure, but that doesn’t mean that life stops...that love stops...it just means that it needs to be handled in a way that allows forward movement, even if there are set backs and it almost feels impossible. What’s most intriguing and worthwhile about this story is how Andrew learns to live...learns to accept the circumstances that he’s in...learns to forgive himself and others for past misdeeds because in the grand scheme of things, focusing on regrets and painful moments forces Andrew to simply exist when he’s meant to flourish and to enjoy life’s precious moments. While readers may be used to and adore your romantic comedies, I’m so grateful for this story...for these characters...for your ability to tell, what has to be one of the most profound love stories that I’ve read in a long time, because it’s a love that has multiple categories and layers - love of self...love of family...love of friends...and the deepest love that can be felt between two people despite time apart and the struggles that occur. Some readers may feel that a heart cannot be unbroken…that once it’s fractured, it’s impossible to heal or be whole again, but through Andrew and Holland’s story, it’s clear that a heart most definitely can be repaired, and while all of its pieces may not fit into their old places, a new overall structure can be created, solidifying all parts, perhaps bending some in order to fit, but leaving not a single piece completely broken. Thank you for telling Andrew and Holland’s story…for having the courage to write something that your readers may feel is too different from what they’ve come to expect from you because this book is a beautiful reminder to live every moment of every day in the best way possible because despite life’s difficulties, it offers limitless opportunities to grow, to love, and to cherish all that life alters. 4.5 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
  • Unforgettable!!

    By Stacyotr
Unbreak My Heart was and wasn’t what I expected, but was amazing. This book was so emotional and absolutely broke my heart. Andrew’s story was not easy. He suffered so much loss in his life that he was on the verge of breaking. But his loss was a journey that led him to see the power of love and friendship. This story had me crying my eyes out both tears of sadness and joy. This is a beautiful unforgettable story!
  • Not your usual Blakely story

    By Shelly062498
I’m so used to Blakelys sizzling romances filled with quick wit, humor and steamy scenes, but it was nice to read something a little different from her. This dive a little deeper than her normal RomComs, it deals with loss, pain, the strength to overcome the despair Andrew feels after losing his brother, and having to deal with all his things afterwards. Oh, there’s still romance, but it’s not the huge focus of this book. Healing is. And sometimes, one must do that alone. I love Andrew, he’s a loyal brother, you can tell. And Holland is a sweet and very caring person, she wants to help andrew but doesn’t want to become his crutch while sorting through his grief. I do wish we had more of a back story on these two, they were together in the past, when reconnecting in the present, the matter of Andrews grief and his pursuit to know more about his brothers final days is a big thing standing in between them. I had a little hard time connection with them as a couple since all for the focus is on other things. You know they love each other, up just wish there was a little more with them in the present to really show their reconnection. All in all, it was a good story and love the meaning behind it.
  • All the stars!! Stunning!!!!

    By KindleKat64
Bravo Lauren Blakely, Bravo!! All the stars for this absolutely stunning story, that was so much more than a love story; it was a learn to live again story. It was a learn to understand and accept the choices people make story. And it was a second chance love story. Andrew Peterson’s journey is a difficult one at times and will certainly make you feel so much. My heart broke for Andrew and I wanted to climb through the pages and hug him so hard. I cried, I laughed, I swooned and finally I felt joy and peace just like Andrew did. Holland has been Andrew’s friend for a while. They started as friends and then became more but then she left to go to nursing school and left him in the process. They reconnect when she comes back but she does not want to be his crutch. She wants him to love her and want her but not to rely on her in order to survive. Holland plays a huge role in his healing process and helps to put his heart back together, but so many other things that Andrew discovers on his own, will be what truly makes the difference for him. I love their relationship and I love how he loves Sandy, his dog. Because how can you not love a man who loves his dog! While this may not be the typical hysterical sexy romcom this author has been showering us with lately, it is an incredible emotional ride that will stay with you long after you finish reading. This is definitely one of my top 3 reads this year!!
